Holy Trinity, Queenscliff

An Intimate and Extraordinary Stop

For us personally, this church quickly became a favorite and one of the most memorable stops on the Melbourne pilgrimage list. Although it was a later addition to the pilgrimage route, its inclusion is marked by a new edition of the Pilgrim Passport, with a green cover to distinguish it from the older blue edition.

If you already have the blue passport, there’s no need to worry about missing this church’s page or thinking you have to start over with the green passport. A separate slip of paper is provided for this church, ensuring every pilgrim can collect the stamp. For those without a passport, the green edition is available, along with either a loose page or the stamp conveniently located right at the entrance.

What makes this church especially memorable is not just its accessibility or the stamp, it’s the little details that leave a lasting impression. Despite the church’s modest size, the choir’s voices were beautifully harmonious, filling the space with warmth and reverence. On the day we attended, a special blessing was added to the experience: the Bishop was present for the 11am Sunday Mass, making the service all the more meaningful.

These elements, the music, the celebration, and the thoughtful accommodations for pilgrims, combined to create a visit that felt both intimate and extraordinary, reinforcing why this church will always hold a special place in our hearts on this pilgrimage journey.
