Quiet Acts of Kindness

Arrival on a rainy Saturday afternoon felt quiet and reflective. A sister stood by the entrance and, noticing the visitors, came over to offer help. After explaining that this was a pilgrimage to collect stamps, the sister suggested taking time to visit and pray inside while she arranged for someone to stamp the passports.

Inside, prayer began in the soft, sheltering hush of the church. Another sister appeared and waited discreetly by the door, allowing a peaceful moment to finish quietly. Once the prayers concluded, the sister kindly took the passports and stepped into a room on the left side of the sanctuary to apply the stamp, so the exact location remained unknown to the visitors.

While waiting, a slow walk around the interior revealed delicate statues and subtle details of devotion. A few minutes later, the sister returned with the stamped passports and shared gentle recommendations about special spots in the church before saying goodbye. It was a small, warm encounter, a reminder that pilgrimage often unfolds through quiet acts of kindness.
