A Seaside Sanctuary
Located by the seaside, this church offers a stunning ocean view and a peaceful garden filled with lush greenery. The building itself has a modern design, yet it carries a calm and sacred atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The stamp station is usually placed on the table to the right of the church entrance.
When we arrived around 4pm, the main doors were already locked. Through the glass, we could see the stamp sitting right on a small table inside, on the left side of the entrance. Hoping for a bit of luck, we decided to walk around the church to see if anyone was still there. We found the parish office on the left side of the church, but it had just closed at 4pm.
Just as we were about to leave, a car drove out from the church grounds. The driver, who must have noticed us wandering outside, turned around to check if we needed help. To our surprise, it was the parish priest himself. We politely explained that we were traveling from parish to parish to collect stamps for the Jubilee pilgrimage. He kindly reminded us that it was already past closing time, but, to our gratitude, he still unlocked the door and let us in to pray and stamp our passports.
The priest patiently waited outside while we prayed and finished stamping, then gently locked the doors after we left. Before heading back, we took a short walk along the nearby beach. The ocean breeze, the soft sound of waves, and the row of colorful beach huts, just like the ones at Brighton, made it a perfect and peaceful ending to our day’s journey.
