A Castle of Modern Grace
With growing confidence from our previous stamp-hunting adventures, we arrived at St Mary MacKillop Church around 5pm on Saturday. We thought, as usual, that the stamp would be placed somewhere on a table near the entrance. However, after looking around and finding nothing, we decided to ask one of the volunteers there. They kindly told us that we would need to ask the priest directly.
Since Mass was about to begin, we stayed to attend the service and spoke with the priest afterwards. He graciously took our pilgrimage passport and went inside to stamp it for us. We also had a warm, friendly chat with him before heading home, a lovely end to the evening.
What truly left us in awe, though, was the breathtaking beauty of the church itself. With a school right next door, there’s plenty of parking available, but it’s the inside that takes your breath away. The interior feels grand and majestic, almost like stepping into a castle. It’s a perfect blend of modern elegance and timeless architecture, radiating a unique charm that we haven’t found in any other church so far on this journey.
