A Quiet Reward
The next stop was about a 20-minute drive from Divine Mercy Shrine. The church itself was small, nestled quietly along the street, but it carried an unexpected warmth and charm. Street parking was convenient, which made the arrival stress-free and calm.
Upon entering, the interior immediately conveyed a sense of intimacy and peace. Soft sunlight streamed through stained-glass windows, casting colorful patterns across the simple wooden pews. The air was filled with the faint scent of incense and candles, and the quiet murmur of distant prayers added to the calm atmosphere. It was easy to forget the outside world in this gentle, sacred space.
The stamp station was immediately visible, tucked neatly near the entrance, and it felt like a small reward for the journey so far. Beyond the stamp, there were little details everywhere, a small statue of the Virgin Mary by the side altar, prayer cards carefully arranged on a wooden stand, and handwritten notices pinned to the boards with reflections or reminders for pilgrims. Each element added to the sense that this little church, though modest in size, held layers of devotion and history.
Spending a few quiet moments here, reading prayers and simply observing the surroundings, brought a sense of connection and calm. It was a reminder that the journey was not just about collecting stamps, but also about pausing to experience the sacredness in every stop along the way.
